The Dance Education Centre is a friendly, fun and exciting dance school. We offer enthusiastic tuition for children 2 ½ years to adult, encouraging the enjoyment of dance, imagination and helping to build confidence within a happy social atmosphere. Students will gain and develop musical awareness, poise, concentration and motivation. Classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Street Dance and Cheerleading are available. Performances and exams are encouraged.
Amanda Cassin BA (Hons) DDI ISTD, RSA, LIDTA - Principal
Recently taken over as Principal of Dance Education Centre from Sophie Wells. Miss Amanda became assistant teacher at Pond-Grainger Performing Arts in 2001 and whilst at this school was given the great opportunity of dancing at the London Palladium, Royal Albert Hall, Her Majesty’s Theatre, London, Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, New Victoria Theatre, Woking and Disneyland Paris. She has performed in the Touring and London Productions of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, and has participated in many Festivals.
Miss Amanda trained for her teaching qualifications in
ISTD at Linda Sweetzer Teacher Training College and IDTA through Sophie
Wells. She is also a fully qualified aerobics instructor, has a BA(hons)
in Leisure Management and A levels in Dance and Theatre Studies.
Miss Amanda is married to Damion and has four children, Ewan, Ciara, Aidan and Caitlin
Sally Sumner AIDTA - Teacher:
Brought up in the Bahamas, Miss Sally began dancing at the age of 3, went to a professional dance school at 13 - to Bush Davies and then to Andrew Hardie. She has performed in Pantomimes and various shows as dance captain in numerous countries from Italy to Las Vegas.
Miss Sally began to teach in a Bahamian school and has recently rediscovered her affinity with children and has combined this with her fantastic skills and love of dance and now looks forward to nurturing the talent in her classes this year.
Miss Sally also teaches at our branch at St Georges Hills
Keiron Providence - Teacher
Keiron is our street dance teacher and trained at The Urdang Academy and is now a resident teacher at the Urban Dance School. He has performed professionally dancing and touring with famous singers and groups, has been in many pop video's including Olly Murs and on television programmes such as X Factor and GMTV.
He is a true inspiration to any street dancer and has a great way with the pupils. Keiron can teach many different styles of street dance giving the pupils greater variety and experience.
Jennifer Newman AIDTA - Teacher:

Miss Jenny took her majors and her teaching qualification at Encore Theatre Arts. It
was through her love of performing and wanting to inspire other children and
adults that she decided to become a teacher. Miss Jenny has a great way with the
children and really brings out the best in them.
Miss Jenny also teaches on our after school programme and
this gives children a huge confidence boost as well as developing
co-ordination and movement ideas.
